While they make ice cream look attractive, studies have linked these synthetic colors to issues like:

  • Hyperactivity in some children
  • Allergic reactions (rashes, sneezing, asthma)
  • Gut irritation in sensitive individuals

In fact, some countries now require warnings on foods containing these dyes. So, that pretty scoop? It may be doing more than just delighting the eyes.
